London

Hang up the bunting and wave your Union Jacks as we celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. The festivities in London are immense and show an overwhelming sense of patriotism as Her Majesty the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years as Britain's monarch.

I am lounging in St James Park. Today has been a killer – was airport bound in Glasgow for 5am and have been wondering around the city since I arrived trying to soak up the Jubilee ambiance through sleepy eyes! My adventure down to the capital is all in aid of my working visa for America so I thought I’d make a trip of it and stay for a couple of days. It’s crazy at the moment since the Olympics are fast approaching so the security has been stepped up to the MAXIMUM and there are British flags absolutely everywhere.
From sampling market street curries with Honey Davis to catching up with Fiona Youngsons antics, it was a worthwhile trip with plenty of excitement. The US Embassy was an intimidating experience with plenty of protocol but the famous iconic waxed cotton outerwear associated with the British countryside is obviously present in London contrasting the buzz of the city which rekindles my love for the capital.
