Ongoing work/projects
Marketing materials - using publisher to clean up our handouts and create flyers to publicize opportunities for both students and employers.
Manage the Ambassador Team - organize meetings every two weeks, create agenda, conduct the discussion, write follow up minutes, schedule events, think up unique promotional ideas, update Facebook group, motivate the students to stay involved.
Administration - answering daily emails, updating spreadsheet for coop history, handling confidential financial aid information,filing and tracking liability waivers and pre-departure documents, sorting mail, dealing with FedEx, keeping in contact with students that are currently abroad, phone calls, reading student blog.
Reception - meeting with students in the office, promoting the program, giving advice, calming down frustrated students, teaching them how to use out Ipad tracking system.
Social media - manage Facebook and twitter feed.
Info session and classes - deliver presentations to large audiences to promote the program and advise on how best to get in touch with our office. Public speaking ability is essential. Engage with students or faculty. Answer probing questions or deal with complaints.
Web design and upkeep - make regular changes to ensure that the information is up to date. Add student feedback and articles about their experience.
Event planning - two major events on campus which our office holds are the pre-departure and re-entry dinners. Ordering food, finding a suitable space to hold the volume of attendees, music selection, presentation preparation, decorations and organization, dealing with facilities department, promotional activity etc.
